Weaving is the art of making cloth from thread, string or yarns.
a. To make (cloth) by interlacing the threads of the weft and the warp on a loom.
b. To interlace (threads, for example) into cloth.
Weaving has been practiced for centuries using various types of looms to create cloth. Very early literature mentions the use of looms for weaving.
In my work, I weave cloth without intention for what it will be. Once the cloth is finished I wait for inspiration - or as we say, "I wait for the fabric to tell me what it wants to be."
